Are you ready to achieve a new level of professional growth and recognition for you and your business?

The Arkansas Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional (ACNLP) program is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and acknowledge industry professionals who demonstrate the skills essential for operations in  horticulture businesses. Founded in 1974, the ACNLP program stands as a mark of quality and was created to reflect what it takes to manage or work in a garden center , wholesale nursery or in a landscape maintenance or contract firm.

Getting the ACNLP isn't simply a one time thing, but an ongoing commitment to professional growth. Professionals holding the designation pledge to continually advance their knowledge and achieve higher levels of excellence in nursery and landscape management. ACNLPs must also actively advance, support and promote the Green Industry and the their profession as a whole.

Beginning in Fall 2008, the ACNLP Committee undertook a comprehensive review of the ACNLP Study Manual  to update the material in the study guide and also began the process of identifying new areas of knowledge that are essential for today's professionals to succeed in the Green Industry. Current Certified AGIA members who wish to be involved with this extensive review may contact the AGIA office.

The test of scheduled twice per year in January or February and in late August or September.

Why Should You Become Certified?
  • By earning the ACNLP, you are preparing yourself for continued success in your Green Industry career.
  • ACNLPs are promoted to the consumer and recognized as individuals who maintain continuing education and who hold the highest standards.
  • Professionals holding the ACNLP designation actively advance, support, and promote the nursery and landscape industry and the profession of nursery and landscape professionals through word and deed.

If you've made the commitment to make nursery and landscape your career, you should consider obtaining your ACNLP. You can start by reviewing the eligibility requirements and application. You'll enjoy these important benefits:

  • Drives professional self-confidence: ACNLP short course and test takers report enhanced knowledge, confidence and increased professionalism.
